Spek and I were just taking a walk and he found this huge 2' long branch from a pine tree. He dragged it around for while, tripping over it and chewing the end of the stick as he walked, until he finally settled in the grass and just laid there and chewed it. It's not a great picture, but it gets the point across. He was so happy.

Day 8
Most of you wont like this, but Corey wants to see it and that's all that matters. All living things poop. Spek just does it cutest.
He also LOOOOOVES playing with other dogs. Especially Hobbes. Boysen and I brought them to the Clarendon dog park last night. Which of course wiped him out.

Day 7
Have you really been gone a week? Well, not quite a week, but a week tonight. It doesn't feel that long, yet I think its about time for you to come home.
I'm trying to get more pictures of Spek being active but the damned dog moves so fast that they all come out blurry. I'll keep trying, but for now you get more resting/sleeping pictures.

Day 6
This is boring, but something he does cutely. He brings a mouthful of food to the carpet and eats one piece of food at a time, then goes back for more. Unless he's really hungry, in which case he inhales it without chewing.
And as an added Tuesday bonus, this is what we call his "split chicken" legs. He's eating a rawhide while I study, but his legs deserve a picture of their own.

Day 5
I took this last night. Spek (and I) passed out on the couch as soon as we got back from Orange. I think he likes this position on the couch more than his chair recently. Maybe there hasn't been enough excitement for him outside?

Day 4
This is from last night. We went to sleep early in the camper at Orange, and Spek slept next to my head all night. I woke up in the middle of the night and this was my view. He had his head right on the pillow next to mine. Where Corey's head should be. And all night long he was cuddled right up against me.
(Sorry for the glare from the pillow.)

Day 3
Technically, this was taken on the night of Day 2. Deal with it. That disgusting thing on my legs is a supposedly indestructable toy. That Spek clearly destroyed. He's no longer 3D Shark, he's Flat Shark. Spek just knows him as "Shark," and he loves him all the same.

A Few of My Favorites
Because you need to see him at his cutest...
Spek at the Bay
Spek in the car (he no longer fits on a pillow).
Our lunch time playdates when he was still just 4 or 5 months old.
He's 6 or 7 months here. Legs are growing longer every day...
Day 1
I'm starting this blog for Corey. He asked for Daily pictures of Spek while he's in Afghanistan for 4 months, so this is the best way to store them, and to let others see how he's growing. And I just really like taking pictures of him. Some days there might be just one picture, some days there might be more. So here we go, Day 1.
